U.S. Stocks Rise After Economic Data

U.S. stocks rose Thursday after fresh data on the labor market and the trade balance showed that the economic recovery remains on track.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.2% and the S&P 500 added 0.2%, putting it on track for a record high. The Nasdaq Composite, which set a fresh record high on Wednesday, hugged the flatline as large technology stocks extended their gains.
