Treasury Yields Extend Climb Into Fourth Session

U.S. government bond yields headed for a fourth straight session of gains Wednesday, with investors’ growing expectations for rapid removal of stimulus from the Federal Reserve lifting the 10-year Treasury yield above 2.6%.
Yields, which rise when bond prices fall, have been climbing for most of the year but took another big leg up Tuesday following statements from Fed governor Lael Brainard that signaled fighting inflation was currently the priority for the central bank.
