Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.27%, while the index added 0.15%, and the index gained 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 2.55% or 0.853 points to trade at 34.300 at the close. Meanwhile, RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:) added 1.98% or 0.650 points to end at 33.480 and Merck KGaA (DE:) was up 1.75% or 3.55 points to 206.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Covestro AG (DE:), which fell 1.16% or 0.620 points to trade at 52.800 at the close. Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (DE:) declined 1.09% or 2.12 points to end at 192.44 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:) was down 1.07% or 2.12 points to 196.18.
The top performers on the MDAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) which rose 2.90% to 567.400, Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.12% to settle at 42.950 and Uniper SE (DE:) which gained 1.93% to close at 33.770.
The worst performers were CTS Eventim AG (DE:) which was down 2.91% to 53.440 in late trade, Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:) which lost 2.65% to settle at 8.550 and Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 2.41% to 45.855 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) which rose 2.90% to 567.400, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.55% to settle at 34.300 and Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.12% to close at 42.950.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 2.41% to 45.855 in late trade, S&T AG (DE:) which lost 1.96% to settle at 18.49 and SMA Solar Technology AG (DE:) which was down 1.63% to 38.700 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 418 to 280 and 78 ended unchanged.
Shares in Merck KGaA (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.75% or 3.55 to 206.25. Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.90% or 16.000 to 567.400. Shares in Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) rose to all time highs; up 2.12% or 0.890 to 42.950. Shares in Uniper SE (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.93% or 0.640 to 33.770. Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.90% or 16.000 to 567.400. Shares in Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.12% or 0.890 to 42.950.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.24% or 4.25 to $1787.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.61% or 1.02 to hit $62.48 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.46% or 0.97 to trade at $65.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1694, while EUR/GBP rose 0.32% to 0.8585.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 93.528.
